Food : a nourishing substance
Hi there! My name is Amanda DeLaura, and I have mad respect for food.
Food has the power to heal the body, transform strangers into communities, and encourage peace amidst war.
While working in commercial kitchens and studying nutrition and food systems, I've seen how people are missing the benefits of eating whole foods because of the ease and prevalence of processed "foods" today. I approach cooking as a way to provide nourishment and sustainability to the body and soul.
Kitchen : the place where food is prepared
I cook with whole ingredients — organic fruits and vegetables, pasture-raised meat, wild-caught fish — and source from local vendors when possible. I do not use processed oils, sugars, and artificial ingredients.
Table : the surface on which food is served
Everyone is welcome at my table. Whether you are vegan, diabetic, allergic to seafood, diagnosed with Crohn's disease or simply enjoy good food, my menus cater to your culinary preferences and dietary needs.
